'Emily Owens M.D.': Gina and Will Go at It (Exclusive Video)
"She may be intimidating at first, but as time goes on, slowly we get to unravel who the character is," actress Necar Zadegan told THR.
Enjoy Emily Owens M.D. while you can because in a few weeks time, The CW will be saying goodbye to the rookie medical drama.
In an exclusive scene to The Hollywood Reporter from tonight's new episode, cardiothoracic surgeon/intern Dr. Gina Bandari (Necar Zadegan) has it out with first-year intern Will Collins (Justin Hartley), telling him a patient's a patient -- even if they aren't "good."

As Zadegan told THR in a recent chat, Gina and Will go toe-to-toe pretty soon. "I think he's the only castmember who's taller than me," she joked. "I can't wait to see that."
"We'll see what happens after," Zadegan said of the heated encounter. "The scene Justin and I do in the operating room is pretty great, too."
Zadegan described Gina -- who oversees the interns -- as "intimidating," but there's a reason to the madness.
"I don't think it's an issue of warming or not warming. She's a little cooler because she's in [a powerful] position in regards to the interns. Definitely as the interns and as story develops, different sides of her will come out," she said. "Right now, we're watching Gina relate to the interns in a very critical way because she's the teacher and they're the students."

But that soon will change as the remaining episodes of the initial 13-episode order near an end.
"She may be intimidating at first, but as time goes on, slowly we get to unravel who the character is underneath her [tough exterior]," the actress said.
Though she remained coy, Zadegan teased that there will be something coming down the pipeline that may be big surprise to the hospital.
"Very soon a secret will be uncovered by Gina that will definitely surprise the interns," she said. "It affects the hospital in that it allows the employees to see Gina in a completely different light and is unexpected. It forces Gina to have to open herself up."
Emily Owens M.D. airs 9 p.m. Tuesdays on The CW.
