The CW Orders Two Reality Series
A one-hour wilderness competition series and a twist on a dating show have been given series orders.
The CW has added two reality shows to its slate.
The Hunt, a one-hour competition series, and Perfect Score, a twist on the usual dating show, have been ordered to series, it was announced Wednesday by Mark Pedowitz, president of The CW.
The Hunt, from David Garfinkle, Jay Renfroe and Greg Goldman (Ready for Love), is described as an "intense wilderness competition" which takes place over one month as 12 teams of two are provided no food, water or shelter but must compete in a game where they rely on their physicality, survival skills and hunting skills to endure their conditions, capture one another and ultimately win a cash prize. The series hails from Renegade 83 and Blackbird Television in association with Warner Horizon.
The half-hour Perfect Score will give participants the chance to win a date, but also the opportunity to win cash if they can successfully identify their perfect match. Creator Scott St. John will executive produce the series, which comes from FremantleMedia North America.
Premiere dates will be announced at a later time.
The network currently has the long-running modeling competition America's Next Top Model -- which will enter season 20 in the summer -- and renewed unscripted efforts Oh Sit! and Breaking Pointe in September.
