Highest-rated World Series Game 5 since 2003

Fox's World Series coverage continued to impress, with Game 5 seen by 17.1 million viewers and posting a 5.3 adult demo rating.

That's up 33% from last year and was the highest-rated and most-viewed Game 5 since 2003 (Yankees vs. Marlins).

Meanwhile, CBS was back in originals after taking a break last week. "How I Met Your Mother" (8.8 million, 3.5) and "Accidentally on Purpose" (8.1 million, 3.1) were on par with their last originals, but "Two and a Half Men" (13.5 million, 4.4) and "Big Bang Theory" (12.7 million, 4.7) slipped, down 8% and 11%, respectively, as did "CSI: Miami" (12.5 million, 3.6) a bit.

ABC's "Dancing With the Stars" (16.7 million, 3.4) took a slight hit, while "Castle" (9.4 million, 2.4) dipped a tenth.

On NBC, "Heroes" (6.2 million, 2.6) was up slightly. NBC's "Trauma" (5.8 million, 1.9) was steady in the nationals after rising in the prelims. "Jay Leno Show" (3.9 million, 1.2) was down a tenth to a new Monday low.

On the CW, "One Tree Hill" (2.3 million, 1.1) was down 15%, and "Gossip Girl" (2.0 million, 1.0) fell 17%.
