Craig Ferguson tops Jimmy Fallon for first time
Last week, CBS' "Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" beat NBC's "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" outright in the adult demo for the first time.
Ferguson has tied Fallon five out of the last seven weeks, but this is the first time since his 2005 premiere that he's beaten his NBC competitor outright in the demo advertisers value most.
ABC is claiming "Jimmy Kimmel Live" also beat Fallon in the demo for the first time, which is odd because they both averaged a 0.5 rating. ABC notes that Kimmel squeaked out 8,000 more 18-49 viewers like this is a Florida election or something. In ratings, that's a tie. Kimmel's audience has grown the last few weeks, however.
Also, final ratings came in for Fox's "Wanda Sykes Show" debut, which pulled 2.9 million viewers and a 0.9 in the ratings. As you can see from the figures below, that's pretty standard for what the grown-up talk show hosts typically pull in better time periods. But this is a premiere, so we'll see how she holds up over the coming weeks...
