Chernin's company sells comedies to CBS
Peter Chernin's company has sold two more projects: scripts for multi-camera comedies at CBS.
One is a workplace comedy from Christ Harris ("Late Show with David Letterman") that explores the generation gap between a guy in his mid 20s and another in his late 30s.
The second is a blue-collar workplace comedy about the staff of a superstore from newcomer Jared Stern.
The Chernin Co., ran by Katherine Pope on the TV side, has a producing deal with News Corp. that includes several blind production commitments at the Fox network. These script sales mark the company’s first sales to another network.
Chernin’s company has sold several project to Fox, including John Glenn's vigilante drama "Fallen," a multicamera comedy by Bobby Bowman, an animated project from Seth Green, Matthew Senreich and Tom Root and a darkly comic drama from writer Diane Ruggiero.
