New 'SNL' hire says f-word during live show (video)
Well, we've all had our lousy first days on the job, haven't we?
New "Saturday Night Live" cast member Jenny Slate said the f-word during a sketch with Kristen Wiig during last night's season premiere telecast. The word reportedly slipped past censors and was carried live on the show's East Coast feed.
The comedians were playing biker chicks when Slate delivered the line: "You frickin' just threw an ashtray full of butts at my head. You know what, you stood up for yourself and I f**king love you for that."
Hmm, perhaps having the new girl perform a sketch filled with mock profanity during a live telecast wasn't the wisest initiation?
You can tell Slate immediately knew she screwed up (by her classic puffer face -- successfully trapping follow-up words of alarm inside her cheeks).
The easily excitable Parents Television Council is probably drafting an outraged press release to protest the show. Let's hope "SNL" producers (and the FCC) don't overreact ...
