Video: NBC's must-see 'Day One' trailer

Day_one_300 This first trailer for NBC's "Day One" just sprung up and even the network isn't quite sure how it leaked online. Not the greatest quality video; I'll replace it with a better one if I can find it.

But regardless: Holy crap! This is NBC? No obvious cost-cutting on this special-effects-heavy pilot. Let's just hope the rest of the episodes don't all take place in, like, a barn or something.

I was concerned about this project when I reported the show wasn't ready to be paneled at Comic-Con (and yup, The Feed will attend again this year), but NBC studio reps assured the dailies were looking great and, sure enough, they do.

Plot was originally expected to be along the lines of "Jericho," though this looks more like "Lost" meets "V," both of which will be on in midseason, just like "Day One," with a dash of "War of the Worlds" thrown in.  Trailer adds neat measures of mayhem, character and mystery.

Watch below, with thanks to apocalypse hub Quiet Earth for getting this (might want to crank the audio to hear more clearly):
