G4 orders American version of 'Ninja Warrior'

Ninja-warrior Always had a special place in my heart for G4's extreme obstacle course Japanese import "Ninja Warrior."

ABC's more comedic -- more intentionally comedic -- "Wipeout" is about watching people fall; "Ninja Warrior" is more of an extreme competition.

Now G4 has ordered "American Ninja Warrior" from executive producer Craig Piligian. The show will send 10 competitors to tackle Sasuke, the Japanese obstacle course featured in "Ninja Warrior," and will premiere this fall. Shame they're not building their own original obstacle course, but I suppose renting Sasuke is the only best to make the concept financially viable for G4.
