TLC's 'Jon & Kate' premiere gets record ratings

Jon_kate_wedding_341 It's "Jon & Kate" plus 9.8 million.

Monday night's fifth season premiere of TLC's big brood reality show was seen by a record audience for the network.

The premiere episode marked TLC's highest ratings ever among adults (6.3 rating) and women 18-34 (9.1) and received twice as total viewers (9.8 million) as the show's previous series high.

"Jon & Kate" was also higher rated than any show on broadcast TV last night.

The TLC reality show has been keeping tabloids busy with hubby Jon Gosselin's supposed affair with a 23-year-old teacher.
