NBC picks up 'Police' and more 'ER'

NBC has picked up six episodes of John Wells' police drama project "Police" and and three more episodes of his veteran show "ER" -- which has continued to win its time period even as the show winds down to a series conclusion. The potential advantages of three more "ER" episodes was discussed earlier here.
