'Kyle XY' debut disappoints; 'Real Chance' soars

After last week's towering winter premiere, ABC Family's "Secret Life of the American Teenager" (3.1 million viewers, 1.1 adults 18-49 rating) tripped 20% among total viewers and women. The series came in eighth place on cable Monday evening while last week's debut ranked third.

The harsh news for ABC Family didn’t stop there. In a new time period, the third season premiere of “Kyle XY” (1.5 million, 0.4) was down 33% from last season’s opener for its lowest-rated opener to date – even though “Kyle” enjoyed a “Secret” lead-in.

Over at VH1, the first season finale of “Real Chance of Love” (4.2 million, 1.9) hit a new high, topping the cable charts among non-sports programming.

Kyle XY is a great show! They've added SO MUCH MORE SCI FI action and drama to it than in previous seasons. More people need to watch, Mondays at 9pm!

Kyle's story is fascinating! He's not an alien like Clark Kent, but the result of an Einstein experiment! My husband says it's better than Smallville!

The Kyle XY cast and crew are very sweet individuals in person! Kyle XY deserves to have a 4th Season!

I've got a request to all of you!: even if Kyle XY is cancelled, please we must not give up insisting for a fourth season! Many of other series that has been cancelled, returned after a while at 90% thanks to fans and viewers who have been insisting on asking the return of them. Please, do not give up. I'm sure Kyle would return, if we got throught this together.

And remeber the season (I hope not the series) finale on ABCFamily Monday 16th @ 9|8c.

please! anyone who reads this you have to watch kyle xy so they can get their ratings up. we need to get more fans and more comments so they can decide to do a season 4! you dont even have to love the show but can you please just comment for us who are fans! it would be a huge favor come on what have you got to lose! please! kyle xy is the best show, dont cancel it just when its starting to get better! we still have a chance dont quit!

If they can't have a fourth season for kyle xy can they at least have one more espsode to wrap it up better with a better ending? I think that Kyle xy is a lot better than secret life. I can relate to it more an intellectual and emotional level

I agree with renee, If you are going to end the show, then end it with a way that wrapps it up, because the ending was horrible. Kyle has a brother! awesome, ok but what happens next? like cmon. I would much rather have them make a 4th season, but if that isnt possible then please one more episode to fill in the blanks.

Kyle XY is such a great show very popular even here in Europe (I am from Slovakia - and a big fan of Kyle). It would be a real pity not to continue with season 4. I am spreading the word about it. I have a big hope Kyle XY will continue and that it would not end this way.
