IT IS ABOUT TIME TO SHOW HOW TOUGH IT IS TO BE A JOCKEY. THIS TV SHOW WILL GIVE THE PUBLIC A NEW OUTLOOK ABOUT THE LIVES OF A LITTLE TROJAN.

LITTLE PEOPLE, BIG HORSES

Incredible trailer. Who's song is in beginning? ( hip-hop)

It seem like it will be a good movie, It's important for people to see that for as much hard work people put in to a horse on the backside the jock has a lot of pressure. Because if they mess up its their neck and everyone in the race on the line, plus if they loss its not just them who loss its a whole team that is let down. Its up to them and a horse they most likely only been on once before, so its not easy.

The song is by T-Pain, but I cannot find the name of it & believe me when I say that I have looked EVERYWHERE!

Who the hell cares about the Gold Digging Jockey's girlfriends. They only go with them for the money. Why would they even show these desperate attention seeking women. You really think they would give these men the time of day if they weren't jockey's? This show should only be about the Jockeys and the Trainers. The hard work that these people put into this sport. The truth behind the scenes. I'm really looking forward to this show. It's about time they show the reality of Horse racing.

The song I hear is "Stronger" by Kanye West

Actually the young lady they show talking to Mike Smith is Chantal Sutherland, who is also a decent up and coming jockey. So I wouldn't say she is a gold digger one bit. For anyone who loves horse racing, this should and could be eye opening and very very interesting.

I think this is a good movie but somewhat misleading because the exercise riders that ride these horses in the morning. Ask any jock and they will tell you they have it easy compared to the exercise riders. Trust me, ive been an exercise rider for 4 years and its not all aboiut these little guys and the minute and a half they are riding these horses.

Damn Right Blair! My girl knows what this shit is all about :)

Well Sarah I'm an exercise rider and an apprentice jockey. I've ridden in the morning for 4 years now and races for 1 year. Its 2 different jobs. 2 different objectives. As an exercise rider you do you job in the morning, yes a hard and sweaty job, but once the track closes you are done. As a jockey, it doesn't end there. Its the mornings, the afternoons studying the form/pulling weight/stretching and running, and the rest of the day riding races. Then you shower, eat only what you can run off, and go to bed. Its a life style. Its different. I'm glad for this show, it will better educate all animal lovers, especially horse people that have no clue what we do.

I been in this business as a jockey and exercise rider in two diferent continents, and the life jockeys choose is bcuz we love horses and the adrenaline this sport bring everytime we get on a horse.
Jockeys dont have to get up at 4 or 4:30 am six days a week even 7 days a week and dont have to gallop thouhg horses or ride babys or dont have to get on in the crazy ones, jockey's job is about relationship with trainers, owners and agents and just few times get on brezers on decent horses in the mornings and sometime they just go straight to the races and belive me jockeys eat and they eat alot jockeys are small and is only few jockeys that struggle with the weigh.
Exercise rider do the dirty job in this business, like clowns in the rodeo.exercise riders gallop 7 0r 8 horses everyday and if you are freelancer you get on 12 or more,we dont make alot of money like jockeys do for 2 minutes or work or less.
I just think people see horse racing as jockeys and trainers they dont look what is in the backside grooms, hotwalkers, exercise riders,I love animals especially horses but jockeys are overratedbcuz a lot exercise rider can do a better job then a lot of Jockeys.

Jon,

The woman you see talking to Mike Smith is Chantal Sutherland. She is considered by many to be the next Julie Krone. She's an awesome rider from Canada. I was talking to a trainer the other day at morning works and he said she's got great hands and good timing and gets the best of out her turf mounts. Hardly a gold digger. Its too bad that you don't know the jockey colony in So. Cal. very well. She's a rising superstar.

Are you crazy? I was a jockey for years and have been galloping for almost 10 years my husband is a jockey and let me tell you almost every jockey I have ever known struggles with weight! It also all depends on what track your at too as to how hard you have to work in the a.m. At the big tracks its a cake walk but at the cheeper tracks I was GALLOPING (not just breezing) 14 to 18 horses a day to ride 2 or 3 at night! And I'm sorry but its the hole picture from the jockey to the trainer to the exercise rider and the groom. My God the GROOM is with the horse and knows more about them than anyone but you dont see a show about them! It takes a trainer that can train and a exercise rider that can tell that trainer and groom when and where a horse is off and the groom has to do what he can to remedy the problems cuz if you realy do work with a racehorse then you know there is no such thing as a sound racehorse.

Hey People,

Think a little bit, U are killing horses, this is not a sport, this is pure animal cruelty, stop it please,

The heros and the victims are here the HORSES, not the jockeys.

I'm sorry to say, but you don't have a clue as to what you are taking about. You don't know about this sport, so it's wise to say that you are ignorant. I am an avid animal lover, and rescue retired race horses. Most race horses are treated like royalty. They are bred to run, and are competitive by nature. They are fed well, groomed, walked everyday, and they love good race. They have a better chance of getting hurt on a farm then in a race. That's not to say that accidents don't happen. They most certainly do, however when they do happen they don't always have a bad ending. They get immediate medical treatment. Just like any athlete, there is always a chance of injury. So before you continue to say horse racing is cruel, learn about the sport first.

POOR HORSES!!

Did you notice a horse broke its neck and another one its legs in this movie?

Did anyone forced the jockeys to choose their profession?

Did anyone asked if the horses wanted their lives like these?

Isn't the Animal Planet Channel supposed to stand for animals?!!

Did you hear they are making a movie about julie krone called the boys club? anyone know when it's coming out?

Dani, nobody has the right for exploitation of another living being for nothing more than human amusement.“I have more respect for people who change their views after acquiring new information than for those who cling to views they held thirty years ago. The world changes. Ideologues and zealots don’t.”
~ Michael Crichton

A sport is when two equally equipped and trained oponents knowingly and willingly face each other in competition. These horses did not choose to be racing. They are forced to do it and when they do not win they are disposed of usually in a cruel way. The horses are not pets, they are business..money..money..money. Remeber Eight Belles, Barbaro, Ruffian, and the horrible way Ferdinand died. Poor horses.
