Well I myself am a McCain man, I just don't think Obama has enough experience and don't think he is a realist, but if he is elected I hope he proves me wrong for the sake of our country

Obama IS the same politics as usual. He's doing nothing different than Clinton. Same shadey characters, same dirty tricks, same empty promises with big bombastic sound; same circle ofsycophants who cant wait for him to win.

Unfortunately there will not be anything new until Senators and Congress Representatives can be convicted under RICO legislation (anti-racketeering legislation) for supporting legislation in exchange for political campaign contributions. Both Misters McCain and Obama had the opportunity to condemn in the strongest of manners the extra $150 billion(!) in pork that was added by pigs themselves, I dare say, to the $700 billion dollar bailout, about which all of us are cognizant....and neither McCain nor Obama went on the rampage about this, like either or both of them could have done. The message to all of us watching the obscene debacle was: "Sorry...no change yet. If we can get away with this ($185 billion), then we are nothing less than ecstatically happy (did you see Nancy Pelosi at the signing??...I mean: ECSTATIC!)....at how secure we all appear to be: and nothing is going to change until we are fearful for our safety." I have not had a drink from the Obama Kool-Aid. I would rather pay much more in taxes if necessary to keep our country safe. Luckily, with McCain, I can have lower taxes and sleep easy at nights knowing my country is safe.

i think people who are angered by the fact that Obama bought your precious air time are ignorant. You can't watch your sitcoms for one to listen to how we could possibly begin to mend our nation's economic crisis. It might not have affected you yet, but to millions of others this could influence their vote, and in turn influence how the country will run for the next four years.

I WATCHED THE VIDEO. OBAMA IS GOING TO CHANGE THIS COUNTRY. YOU KNOW, EVERYONE HAS THEIR OWN OPINION ABOUT EVERYTHING. BARAK OBAMA IS A GOOD MAN. PEOPLE TALK ABOUT HIM CAUSE HE BOUGHT NETWORK TIME. IF YOU WERE RUNNING FOR THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES AND YOU HAD THE FUNDS TO DO WHAT HE DID. YOU WOULD DO THE SAME THING. IF YOU WANTED TO WIN ANYWAY. BARAK HAS A GOOD HEAD ON HIS SHOULDERS. Obama is not a realist. He is an idealist. What's the point of not living without having hope for a better tomorrow? Are our best days behind us? McCain is a great man, but he only offers the same economics policy that places 90% of the wealth in 10% of the population, a policy that strangles the middle class and awards people of privilege. When I think of American ideology, I think of it as a land of opportunity, not privilege by birthright. McCain's experience in life and politics is tremendous, but as an individual, he is out of touch with the common man. Barack Obama offers a majority of americans a real chance to change foreign, domestic, and economic policy in a bipartisan way that has not been seen in my time. Joe Biden has extensive legislative and foreign policy experience, which is uncontested. If you are in agreement that Sarah Palin is a liability, for lack of experience, time in office, and religious extremism, then of the two dominant parties exists a vastly superior duo for candidacy.

I think the ad is a terrific idea, and I loved it. It's always hard to get your point across in small clips from speeches on news stations or in timed debates, etc. Here, he can just make a point to American citizens for a half hour. Most of us can sit and watch a show or game for that amount of time; so once, during a historical election, is it too much to make that half hour about the election? We don't have to watch it, we can change the channel...

I just wish there were multiple slots so that I could've watched it when I got home, but I saw online and it was not big, but still good quality. Also, he didn't spend time attacking McCain or Palin, he just gave us some information...which can be hard to decipher in the midst of some nasty mudslinging.

I think...at this point...if you're still undecided about who to vote for...you're sheep. Better still, we should be allowed to make food out of you.

The infomercial which I have now read by many ignorant people here, who think this was arrogant, and have had their useless sitcoms interrupted for an evening, really need their heads examined.

This man, whether you love him or not, is at the very least not some old, dottering fool who can't put two words together in a sentence, paired with a psycho-parody of a woman from hell, who has blown RNC money on bad hair and bad makeup. They stink up every joint they are in. That this is a woman telling women in this country, that should we be attacked and raped, we'd have to pay for our own rape kit and then have no options to terminate the pregnancy, is essentially the largest slap in the face I have ever heard of. It makes her a self-loathing woman. If she is ever allowed near any office of power, I am quite certain, someone will get in a helicopter and shoot her down, like the various wildlife she shoots down. At least I hope so.

Ah, the GOP, and their breed of "regurgitation information" followers. No one has a CLUE. It always amazes me that people who tend to vote Republican these days, apparently like being poor. It always amazes me to find that so many Republicans who vote with the presumption that their money is to be protected...are actually very poor people, with no money to protect, and should the GOP remain in power, less money for their futures. The GOP has pulled out quite a ruse on the poor. Trust me, the GOP could care less about the poor, unless they're serving them in a restaurant.

What people are offended by, is truth. No one likes being told they've been ignorant, or stupid, or worse. People don't want to see Obama for 30 minutes on Television, because they'd have to confront a lot of stuff down deep in the core, that they'd just as soon be shiftless, lazy and ignorant about. I won't even go into the inanity that in 2008, that the GOP still want to scare the racists in this country half to death with falsities about him being a terrorist.

Barack Obama (people...learn to spell his name correctly, it's been a looooooong time in the press), is the future of this country. At least the future of any country I'd want to live in. I want to live in a country that stands for equality and fairness. I want to see my family and generations thereafter, able to get medical treatment, healthcare, education and jobs. Old people should be able after a life serving this country in one way or another, to retire peacefully and in comfort. I am sick of a country where rich people get richer, and poor people get poorer.

ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!!! So if you really feel like walking into the booth on November 4th and pulling the lever for marble mouth McCain and his Whore of Babylon is really a good idea, feel free to find a cliff and jump off, cause trust me...that will be the more painless end to a sure and forthcoming misery.

The people that don't take 30 minutes out of their time to watch this video are the idots. Barack Obama should be the next president. I keep hearing all this keep our country safe talk from Mccain and Palin. I go to sleep every night worrying about how to pay my bills not what terrorists have bombs. "News Flash".........George W. Bush knew that America was bottoming out in 2000, that's why the trade centers were bombed. An excuse to blame a totally different country for our problems and take the focus off the true terrorists(US Government) and problem. I mean seriously, Iraq, Taliban, Russia.....these people are no threat to the US. For all you warmongers who think our country isn't safe, wake up! America is the darkest and cruelest when it comes to war.

I am proud of Obama and his campaign for putting together these clips and airing them on television.. It feels great to watch an intelligent and caring man striving to address these issues! He doesn't simplify them, he suggests realistic strategies for arriving at a real solution. I love that instead of glossing over issues or attacking the opposition, Obama stays true to the needs we have and makes me and everyone I know (okay, I live in Chicago) want to jump up and down we're so excited about the prospect of things changing on a large scale. I do not and will not ever understand the people who are negative about Obama, when all I see from him are strong efforts to relieve people of their troubles, as far as any can.

I have already voted for the McCain/Palin ticket, so I didn't watch. I actually read with my grandson. I think the whole idea of the infomercial at this late date was just more evidence of Senator Obama's megalomania. I have seen the posts of BO's followers rhapsodizing about this guy, but hey...he had those votes anyway. I guess the koolaid drinkers got to gaze, uninterrupted, for 30 minutes at their chosen one. So, maybe it wasn't a total waste of 3 million Middle Eastern dollars.

SLICK, that is the best way to describe Obama. He is a smooth talker. He reminds me of the movie "An American President" and the reason why is that he is articulate and handsome, but he is promising everyone that he is going give them everything they need and desire. If we elect him I believe he is just going to turn around and either say oops we can't afford that or bankrupt us trying. His plans sound a lot like socialism. Didn't work too well for Russia, but if you trust him we will follow their path.

Keith Olbermann tonight highlighted a man of the right-wing nature saying that there was a conspiracy of the left to paint a picture of America liking equality. He said equality is a European concept, one that the French embrace.

I know most call him crazy, but I see more intolerance come from the right than they themselves give credit for. It's sad when my friends say they would rather keep their money than to pay for public schools. When an uncle tells my father that he shouldn't be a Democrat because he owns an apartment complex.

I have always lived in a Republican dominated county, but our family could never understand how the well-to-do call upon the name of our country in enriching themselves while neglecting the common man in so many ways. I've been told of another uncle getting a bonus because he successfully negotiated a contract that took away more health care from the employees than the company was bargaining for.

Republicans may claim to have core values, but when I see the selfishness displayed by those whole call themselves that, it reinforces my ideals. And when I see those that call themselves Republicans and Christians, doing those things, it makes me wonder what kind of God would be encouraging it?

I just hope that after Obama is elected he stands against the tide and changes things for the better, in the long-term. That in doing so, he shows us as a nation (Democrat, Republican, Independent, Christian, Jew, Muslim, Hindu, straight, gay, lower, upper, middle, unionized, non-unionized, management, student, business owner, retired, etc) that a man, a flawed man, can bring about a better America.

I respect McCain, I had hope for McCain as late as last year. But he has changed... he no longer gives me the hope I believed in. I was immediately shocked by his VP pick and shook my head as news story after news story came and continues to come out about her. McCain may be an American hero, but his philosophy is a basic Republican one that I don't think fits right now. In 2000 or 2004, he would have had a better environment. 2008 brings a whole new set of rules to the game and we cannot afford to lose.

Palin for president...I just can't imagine. McCain is good and all but PALIN. Suppose the old man crooks (heaven forbid) PALIN is next in line.

I also believe he is a good man, I do not expect him to be the messiah like some Republicans accuse him of trying to be... but I believe that he is a good man who will try and do the right thing. This show lays out in no uncertain terms what his plans are for the nation and- for the cynics- it even will make him more accountable for these things when he is in office. I look forward to casting my vote for him and only fear that there will be too many folks that will not get around to voting- who can unintentionally change the election to a much more dismal future with McCain.

Thanks for having the video posted here, i was unable to watch it in TV. Obama is not just a good man, his campaign has been about what he is planning to do, rather than the GOP one that all they have done is to talk bad about Obama, that is something that I can not tolerate, does talking bad about the other candidate meets the qualification to be a President? I guest not.
I can only say that if you are voting GOP is because you are afraid of change, and because change is what we need I'm voting for Obama.

It really is a sad, sad day when I read the varies blogs in regards to this election. It makes me wonder where America is really heading. Remember back to September 11th, 2001...for a brief moment in time we were ALL Americans. American Indian, Black, White, Hispanic, Asian, Indian, Christian, Catholic, Muslim, Buddhist, or Atheist. A tragedy brought a nation together but an election tears us apart. How pathetic!

It kills me to read things like, "ALL Republicans...! or ALL Democrats...!, in every bad mouthed, negative, rude, immature way possible. It scares me to think that these people are allowed to vote and are possibly parents! Why are we teaching intolerance and prejudices during an election, I ask. The "other party" could be your friend, pastor, neighbor, colleague or child care provider for all you know!
I do not know a single soul who agrees with the person they have chosen to vote for 100%.
As I recently taught my 7 year old... we vote for the one who we least disagree with!

Personally I am not crazy about either one! I do think this "last ditch effort" by Obama's team might prove to back fire. I was not "up sold" or impressed by it one bit. I felt it showed insecurity and egotism. I was very disappointed that they felt the need to spend this kind of money to have the "final word".

A large gesture of good will to a woman and children's fund or something like that would have spoken louder in my book!

I like the commercial from a strategic stand point. Trust me. McCain is very hot he didn't do one too. I'm sure he called some poor woman at his campaign headquarters a f_____g c___t for not thinking of it. But seriously. I can understand people wanting to vote for McCain. I mean forget about Keating. Forget about Liddy. Forget about how he was attached at the hip with George Dub-Ya till the ship started sinking. Oh before I forget...Where the hell has Dick Cheney been by the way? I've seen Kim Jong-il & Castro more than the American VP the past year or so.....Am I the only one that finds that weird? Sorry....Forget about Reverend John Hagee & Reverend Rod Parsley and their inflammatory, hateful, genocidal and racist remarks directed at Muslims, Jews and even the Catholic Church. Both of whom back your boy McCain whom later expressed his acceptance of their physically sickening endorsements. And please don't forget his pick for V.P. A person who is running for Vice President yet wasn't successful, or should I say, capable of defining what a Vice President does....pathetic. Let us not forget the Katie Couric interview... shockingly pathetic. I mean the man just showed everyone that he can't even pick a capable VP and more importantly, potential next President. The fear of having her anywhere near the White House should make this a landslide election in itself. Unfortunately, in this country, their are some who would rather vote for a white 72 year old war monger and an absolute air-head than an good, descent, caring and intelligent African American candidate. Don't get me wrong. I'm not saying McCain and Palin aren't descent people. But they are not for the middle-class and the poor of this country. A poor or middle class republican is the most counter-productive position one person can possibly take. As far as race, some people have advanced their pattern of thought and others have acute arrested development when it comes to equality and tolerance. Hypocrites that honor our flag so diligently, sing our patriotic songs so loudly and then omit the very first sentence from the document that our flag, songs and Democracy were based on...."We hold these truths to be self-evident, that ALL MEN ARE CREATED EQUAL, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness". Take these words in the booth with you and choose for your Country. Not race, Not party.... Country. PHILLIES!!!

From an outsiders persepctive (UK citizen) this is a facinating time and, whilst not much caring to appeal to the far right (or left) extremes of this debate, it strikes me that Mr Obama offers hope and an opportunity for each and every one of us to be better citizens and more secure at home and abroad.
Prosperity requires stability and cannot be won without consensus or 6000 miles away through the barrel of a gun - particularly if you're being indescriminate.
Recently Russia and America appear to share the 'might is right' ethos - the thing that separates them being that America (and us) have borrowed their standard of living and Russia hasn't yet found a way to nurture the value of creativity and hard work leading to secure prosperity.
I think Barack offers the hope of a better future - the challenge he (and at least the next 5 administrations will have) being to restore the confidence and trust that has been sorely tested (at home and abroad) and resize our standards of living. Greed isn't any better than might - but opportunity combined with security is and always will be the better future.
He'd be the wise choice come election day (the right man for our time I suppose !!) - but I'm convinced that that's only the start. Having lived in the States for 4 years and come to appreciate the possibility of your democracy - each American will need to exercise temperance and keep your house keeping in check whilst holding your politicians accountable for their decisions.

To Lynn, who claims Mr. Obama spent "3 million Middle Eastern dollars" for his television appearance: I personally would have rather spent 3 million "Middle Eastern" dollars on educating people on what Mr. Obama will bring to the table when he is president than to spend $595,077,916,265 AMERICAN dollars on a useless war.

Don't hate on the man for having the money to do what any politican would love to do. It just proves that he has vision and promise to think outside the box. Vote Obama on November 4th.

The add was a great idea!
The money spent on the add is very little compared to how much money we would loose if Mccain became president.
You spend alittle to save a whole lot. And the add was so worth it. I enjoyed it.
Plus the money spent for air time came from people want Obama as president.
Lets take a real look at who's hiding what.

I agree with Hannah that he deserves the time and the world does. We have seen hateful racist and wrong chain letters and calls about him being a terrorist socialist baby eater. I think Obama is a real gentleman and will be a wonderful president.

I missed the airing of the infomercial and only just got a chance to read it on line. All I can say is "Great Job"! As usual Barack Obama brought on the goods! This man believes in one America, one People and the ability for all of us to work together for the good of everyone. We can do this. Yes, we can! As far as the cost of the ad...the money spent went into American pockets for salaries for all the people who were involved in making the commercial...back into the American economy...not into a stockpile in a foreign country. Keep the jobs and money here. Provide new jobs in the Green industry. Provide health care for all Americans. Bring up the poor to the middle class. Raise taxes only on those who can truly afford to pay. If you bring up the poor to a higher standard of living, you'll have more able taxpayers! It's just that simple. We all have the same cost of living...we should all be making the same kind of salaries. Some will have more, but with BO's plans, it won't be so disproportinate. And some others won't have so very little. We can do this. This is America...land of the free and home of the brave. So let's put aside our fears of Change, and make the changes we need to take this country, this world into the 22nd century and beyond. YES WE CAN!!!!
