'Family Guy' likens McCain-Palin supporters to Nazis

When it comes to over-the-top name calling, does "fascist" trump "socialist"?

In Sunday night's "Family Guy," Stewie and Brian time travel to Poland during WWII, where this happens...

Last night's episode hit a season-high rating (4.7 among adults 18-49) and continues to be the best-performing show amid Fox's animated comedy block. Guess if you're sporting those kind of numbers, you can afford to thumb your nose at Uncle Rupert.

Also, it probably should be noted that creator Seth MacFarlane is a Barack Obama supporter and spoke at a Ohio rally for the candidate.

UPDATE: Fox has issued a statement on the furor (the Fuhrer?) caused by the episode: "From its inception, 'Family Guy' has used provocative concepts and biting satire as the foundation of its humor. The show is an equal opportunity offender."

Fox News asks: Did "Family Guy" go too far?

wtf happened to my scrotum

Well, Volume 6 will be the last installment in the Family Guy episode series that I'll be buying on DVD. Family Guy, like The Simpsons, has become too one-sided in their political satire. Remember when The Simpsons use to make fun of both liberals and republicans? Those were the days. Now, it's liberal colors are shining through. So much for the 'fairness' from the ideology who supports the Fairness Doctrine's return should The Messiah be elected in two weeks. The same applies to Family Guy. I wonder if something like this will be punished under the Fairness Doctrine. Some how I doubt it.

"Family Guy" is infantile and offensive...and I watch it as often as possible. Of course...no one recalls the time when "Peter" erected a "Scare Jew" at his doorstep..to frighten "Mort" ..(like a "scare crow"..you know?)

Gosh, too bad for the Reptillians. Hey guys, lighten up, learn to take a joke. What a bunch of sore losers. And todays lesson is...if you don't like it, don't watch it. Acting like a bunch of Nazis when someone calls you a Nazi.. well that's just plain stupid.

I think someone should point out to Seth McFarlane and Co. that the Nazis started out as a socialist group looking to a questionable leader to pull the country out from the doldrums with discussions about "change"...whoa, wait a second...

I'm sure when John McCain was being tortured and having his arms broken in the Hanoi Hilton, the one thing that kept him going was the the hope that one day, a moronic, snot-nosed liberal cartoon maker would compare him to Nazis.
