ABC grows Friday reality; 'Ex-List,' 'Life' slip
Seems viewers are figuring out veteran ABC reality shows "Wife Swap" and "Supernanny" are now on Friday nights.
"Swap" (4.3 million, 1.5/6) and "Supernanny" (5 million, 1.8/6) were up 15% and and 20%, respectively, from their premieres last week.
ABC's growth wasn't enough to overthrow usual Friday champ CBS, however. The second episodes of "Ghost Whisperer" (9.4 million, 2.6/9) and "Numb3rs" (8 million, 2.2/7) both grew a tenth of a point in the adult demo. Yet freshman series "Ex-List" (5.7 million, 1.9/6) -- airing in between the other two programs at 9 p.m. -- declined a notch despite the rising tide.
Also in scripted originals Friday: NBC's "Life" (4.9 million, 1.4/4) is not doing well in its new home. Kicked out of its Monday night Eden, the 10 p.m. drama dropped 18% from its Friday debut last week.
If "Ex-List" and "Life" continue to post these numbers, it's tough to imagine either show receiving an order for additional episodes.
