'The Amazing Race' wins ... again

Six times. Six. Times. The reality competition Emmy. Six consecutive years. Six.

Backstage:

"Who knows? It keeps going and going and going," says "Race" executive producer Bertram van Munster.

Fellow exec prod Jerry Bruckheimer is asked if he would ever withdraw the show from consideration -- like some actors have done if they've won "too many" times -- to give another show a chance to win.

"I doubt it," Bruckheimer says. "I really do. We love these statues."

And I've still never watched one episode.

Amazing Race is the best edited reality show on television. Coupled with the music, the show keeps the viewers on the edge of their seats to the end. Maybe Bruckheimer needs to produce the Emmy show? I think it's time for the current Emmy Producers and Writers to be shown the door. I can't wait to see the ratings for the Emmy's in the coveted demographic, 18-34. Quite a yawner! I'm looking forward to Amazing Race starting up on Sunday.
