'Big Brother' premieres steady
With flat being the new up, CBS' "Big Brother" (6.3 million viewers, 2.1 preliminary adults 18 to 49 rating and 7 share) had a successful premiere Sunday night, holding steady with its rating from last year and performing on par with its in-season debut this spring.
NBC's presentation of the annual "Miss Universe" (6.3 million, 2.1/07) contest won its second hour at 10 p.m., yet was down overall 20% from last year.
Fox topped the night with repeats (3.5 million, 1.6/5). A "Family Guy" repeat (4.7 million, 2.2/6) narrowly won the night in the demo.
