'Celebrity Circus' ratings without a net
NBC’s all-American bummer continues: The 90-minute premiere of “Celebrity Circus” had a modest opener Wednesday night with a premiere on par with the network’s other recent reality debuts.
Still, there's some silver lining here.
With lots of repeats on the schedule last night, “Circus” (6.5 million, 2.3/6) was the second highest-rated show.
And after it got out from under Fox’s “So You Think You Can Dance,”
“Circus” won the 10 p.m. hour. “Deal or No Deal” (8.5 million, 2.1/7)
served as a lead-in.
Fox won the night with “Dance” (8.8 million, 3.4/11). NBC was second. CBS was third with repeats (averaging 7.9 million, 1.7/5). ABC came in forth with repeats and the series finale of “Men In Trees” (4.5 million, 1.1/3). The CW aired a repeat and “Farmer Wants a Wife” (2 million, 0.8/2).
