'Boston Legal' final season, 'Oprah's Big Give' gone

Boston_legal ABC execs said the 2008-09 season will be "Boston Legal's" last.

A surprise absence: "Oprah's Big Give," which had modest success and won its time period on Sunday nights.

"We loved that show and absolutely would have loved to bring it back," the network's chief Steve McPherson said. “But it was something (Oprah) didn't want to do."

I'm so sad that Boston Legal is ending. It's one of the few smart and witty shows, with often a wonderful political edge that I love and salute the writers of the show!

I couldn't agree with you more. It's our favorite show. We look forward to watching it ever week. I love all the actors and actresses and definitely love how it touches on political current events. We will sure miss it. Darn.

It is sad to see the Best Show Ever ending. My husband and I enjoy this show and the cast and can't wait until Monday nights to watch it. I think that ABC is strange to end a show that is as popular as Boston Legal. I hope that another network will be smarter and keep the show going. It will be ABC's lost!!

So sorry to see this show leave the airwaves. In my way of thinking, it's just another example of how the American public is dumbed down by taking away this show.

I, too, am saddening about the departure of Boston Legal. The charactors are absolutely wonderful. My husband I look forward every week to this show and now it will leave a big hole on Monday nights...and it did on Tuesday.

I shall miss Spader, Shatner and the one who plays "Jerry" a lot. What a wonderful bunch of writers, actors and others. This icon of a show will be missed greatly.

So... if we will miss them so much, why don't we DO something about it? Perhaps this will be the SECOND show Shatner has starred in, that the "NETWORKS COULD NOT KILL"....

Write- call- be HEARD!!!!

I can't believe Boston Legal is leaving T.V. My husband and I really enjoyed the stories and characters. This will be a real loss.

I will also have a big hole in my TV viewing. This show spoke to current issues in a way that was sensitive and non-offensive. Always it left me with serious thought which helped me to see the big picture.

BRING IT BACK
